Case Study Summary

Background

Third Echelon (3ECH), a top secret initiative within the NSA has been silent for many years. Their safehouses around the globe have been unmaintained since their disappearance... except for one.

Contributions

In this Unreal Engine project, I explored the responsibilites of a Level Artist in a AAA studio setting. I created a modular environment that showcased my skills in level design, technical art, and visual effects.

The goals of this piece were to develop a stronger understanding of a Level Artist's responsibility of weaving story intentions into an environment, and create lighting that supports the artistic vision of the project while maintaining realism.

  • Lighting Design: Developed a lighting scheme that supported the narrative and artistic vision of the project.
  • Shader Development: Created custom shaders to enhance visual effects and realism.
